Confess: What's the Worst Advice You Were Given as a Teenager? 😅
Okay, be honest with us for a second...
Remember that one piece of "wisdom" some adult gave you when you were a teenager — said with total confidence — that you later found out was completely wrong? Or maybe you followed it and lived to tell the story (barely)?
Maybe it was: "Never let them see you cry." "Money isn't everything, don't chase it." "Just follow your heart, it always knows best." "You have your whole life to figure things out."
Sounds wise... until life actually happens and you realize some of it was just noise dressed up as wisdom.
Here's the thing — bad advice isn't always given by bad people. Sometimes it's a parent, a teacher, a pastor, an uncle who genuinely meant well but was speaking from their own fears, not your future. Part of growing up is learning to sort the gold from the noise — and honestly, that's a skill nobody sits you down and teaches.
So let's talk about it. This is a safe space — no judgment, just real talk.

- What's the worst (or funniest) advice you got as a teen?
- Did you follow it — and what happened?
- If you could go back and tell 16-year-old you the TRUTH instead, what would you say?
- Tag someone who gave you "wisdom" you're still laughing about today 😂
